After long and tiring days of work, your body would yearn for at least a day of relaxation. I understand that for most people, going on a vacation is the best relaxation they could ever get. I love vacations too but we don’t always have the time and money for it. I mean, would you really wait for your sales bonus or vacation leave before you relax? Well let me tell you this, you could find relaxation even when you're at home! How does soaking in a bathtub and salt scrub sound to you? It sounds music to my ear! Oh how I love to soak myself in the tub with bath bombs! The fragrant smell of the bath bomb when it explodes calm all my nerves. It feels great on the skin too. My favorite bath bombs are from Mer D’or Paris. They have small and large bath bombs and heart shaped ones too! These bombs really promise an amazing bathing experience. I also purchase my salt scrub through them.
Stress is inevitable and it could get the best of us so we need to find ways to reduce stress and one of the best ways is relaxation. I am going to share some relaxation tips that I practice myself. Whenever I do these at home it presses my restart button and I wake up the next morning feeling much more relaxed, much more focused, and much more ready to face the world. Really, there’s more to it than physical relaxation. It relaxes the mind too.
Okay, so this is like my favorite relaxation technique. It feels really great to spend like half an hour soaking in a tub (drinking wine or champagne sometimes). I especially love it when the tub has bath bombs which smell so great. And they r colorful too so it’s very very relaxing.
I feel relaxed when I know that my skin is cleansed. Salt scrub exfoliates my skin, removing layer of dead skin cells. I love how my skin feels after a salt scrub. It definitely feels smooth and smells good too!
I often play relaxing music while I soak in the tub. It allows my mind to relax and get indulged in the music. It takes away all the other stuff going on in my mind. Research shows that listening to soothing music can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety
When I don’t listen to music, I meditate. There r a lot of benefits meditation could give. You just need to free yourself of all the thoughts entering your mind and be aware of your body. You will learn to focus on one thing and appreciate everything about that one thing. You could meditate while soaking in a tub and just focus on the sensation it is giving you. You’ll be surprised at how calm you will be!
Slowly inhale through your nose, feeling the breath start in your abdomen and work its way to the top of your head. A simple deep breathing could reduce stress and makes you feel calmer.
Imagining good things is one way to relax. Just close your eyes and imagine yourself in a peaceful place where you can let everything go. Really feel that you are there so you will not miss the tranquil feeling your imagination will give you. For example, imagine yourself at the beach, watching the sun setting over the water.
